Co-op (ish)

You want the independence and financial stability of solo practice without the headaches, risk, and overhead.

I have an established practice, love reducing barriers for others, and weirdly appreciate back-end practice management tasks, but have zero interest in participating in exploitive group practice heirarchy or being anybody’s boss.

Solution? Co-op(ish)

How does it work? You run your business, set your own hours, fees, and policies however you’d like. I provide EMR access and handle all billing, claims, and related admin. You get paid on a semi-monthly basis as a W-2 employee or 1099 contractor (your choice).

What’s the catch? There truly isn’t one if this in-between of options works for you. Co-op(ish) members pay a flat monthly fee of $50-$300 depending on the size of their case load and billing complexity. 1099 members are paid at 95% of their billed/contracted rates - the other 5% covers actual claim and credit card processing fees. W-2 employees are paid at 85-90% of their billed/contracted rates - the other 10-15% covers actual taxes, claim and processing fees.

But, what’s in it for Cedar Moon? Reducing barriers for other clinicians, practicing in alignment with our values, reducing burnout via task/role variance, and meeting some amazing colleagues along the way.

Are there any other perks? Absolutely! All optional of course:

  • Actual cost of coverage buy in to group medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA, and 401K

  • Potential office sharing (for population and precaution aligned providers)

  • Heavily discounted consultation, supervision, and credentialing

  • Monthly team or individual check-ins (if desired)

  • Team profile on website and marketing materials
